São Paulo is one of the world's largest metropolises and boasts impressive statistics!

From a historic industrial center to a global innovation hub, São Paulo is now establishing itself as a vibrant destination that attracts foreigners both for the strength of its job market and its cultural and tourist dynamism. Let's take a look?

1) São Paulo is the second city that consumes the most pizza in the world! New York is first in the ranking, and São Paulo comes next. Residents of São Paulo consume more than 700 pizzas per minute, according to data from the São Paulo Convention & Visitors Bureau. That's a lot of love for the Italian invention!

2) São Paulo is the city with the largest number of heliports in the world. The city is considered the world capital of helicopters. And why? There are more than 400 helicopters throughout the city. But, between us: with the volume of cars, motorcycles, and buses all over the city, who wouldn't want to have a private helicopter?

3) São Paulo is a city that breathes culture. The city has more than 150 museums with exhibitions for all tastes, including: MASP, Pinacoteca, Museu da Língua Portuguesa, and Museu do Ipiranga. In addition to museums, São Paulo also has more than 100 theaters, many concert halls, and cultural centers. São Paulo is the kind of city where you can freely choose any type of cultural activity, any day of the week. It's culture every single day of the week.

4) A cultural mix. São Paulo is cosmopolitan par excellence and boasts surprising stories of foreigners who shaped the city's history in the past. Forged by coffee and built on the dreams of immigrants who saw Brazil as a "land of opportunity," the city concentrates the largest Japanese community outside of Japan, in addition to numerous descendants of Italians and Lebanese. For example, there is the story of Giuseppe Martinelli, an Italian immigrant who arrived in Brazil initially working as a bricklayer before becoming wealthy through shipping and commerce during the First World War. A visionary, Giuseppe Martinelli began construction in 1924 of the first skyscraper in Latin America, giving his name to the iconic Edifício Martinelli located in the city center.

5) One of the best subway systems in the world. In a global ranking, the São Paulo subway is among the top 10, being the only representative from Latin America on this list. Internationally recognized for its modernity, the São Paulo subway also stands out for its efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and high technology. With a network of over 100 km, 6 lines, and 91 stations, the subway transports approximately 890 million people per year! That's a lot of people, isn't it?
